Southern Hospitality served up Country Style...
Duck River Country Store
located in historic Duck River, Tennessee (Hickman County)
4230 Hwy 50 E - Duck River, TN
This century old country store has been serving up "Country" for almost 100 years, since 1930. Back in the day, the community depended on these country stores for not only their basic goods, but local news & entertainment serving as the social center of the community.
The ladies around the Duck River Country Store say "more fish have been caught by men standing around the old stove than Duck River can hold!" This local attraction has definitely remained the place where local sportsman stop for food and drink while sharing the bragging rights to their most recent harvest or catch (most often exaggerated).
If only these old wooden floors could tell the tales of decades past. Like most classic, old-fashioned country stores & markets, the Duck River Country Store boasts of a food counter where everything from pizza, burgers and a host of "Comfort Food" items are lovingly served for customers to enjoy dining inside or out on the picnic tables.
This country market features all the charm and characteristics people come to expect in the local country store...punched tin ceilings, wooden floors, high ceilings, open shelves, central food counter, and lots of Southern Hospitality! Come visit!
Located just one mile off the Natchez Trace Parkway, this is a destination location for many travelers through the region.
Why would the current owners even consider parting with such a regional landmark? Selling for health reasons...
The building was built early 1900's and features 1,728 square feet. The lot has 197' of frontage on Highway 50 and 107' on Hoover's Road. This is a corner lot! The Duck River Post Office is located behind the Duck River Country Store.

W. D. Turner Estate - 1950's Cottage on 5 acres
PRIME CORNER LOCATION
Hwy 230 & Hwy 100
This parcel has road frontage on 3 roads!
House & 5 acres located at the corner of Hwy 100 & Hwy 230 and bordering Dotson Lane. This tract has frontage on three roads!
Excellent opportunity for potential commercial.
The house was built in 1950 and features 1,440 sq ft of living space. If you are looking for a classic 1950's cottage for a remodel, consider this property.
Of course this classic mid-century cottage needs repairs...needs a LOT of repairs! But with the price of building materials (lumber) at record high prices, this is the ideal time to remodel an older home with a good, solid structure.
Walk around inside this house and you can feel just how "SOLID" this house truly is. The family reports the house was built by Mr. Weems in the 1950's, a well-known local contractor building quality homes. Note the original hardwood floors are still in good condition.
This 5 acre corner parcel is a highly coveted location for anyone with "commercial interests" or possibly multiple residential lots. With almost 2,000' of total road frontage (1,924'), this corner location has a tremendous amount of potential for the new owner.
Historical Note: This exact corner location was once the site of a roadside motor court. To VIEW the house, contact
